We would like to cordially invite you to the Freedom Dreams Mass Meeting: A Celebration of Community and Democracy.

The Freedom Dreams Mass Meeting will take place on March 27, 2025, at 6 pm, at Wake Forest University, at the Hanes Art Gallery located in the Scales Fine Arts Center, 1775 Wake Forest Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27109. This special gathering aims to unite the community around its aspirations for freedom and democracy.

The event will feature convener and moderator Dr. Claire Crawford, Assistant Professor of Political and International Affairs and the Program of African American Studies, the inspiring Albany Civil Rights Institute Singers, Rev. Andria Williamson, M.Div. `17, Associate Chaplain and Director of Chapel Programs, High Point University Chapel & Religious Life, and Rev. Joshuah Brian Campbell, Director of Worship, Music, and the Arts, Wake Forest University School of Divinity and Director of the University Gospel Choir.

Together, they will share powerful messages through music about the ongoing journey toward freedom, equality, and justice, urging the community to rally behind its collective dreams.

In a tradition of unity and hope, this mass meeting seeks to honor the practice of coming together in the name of love, freedom, and a more inclusive American democracy. It’s a call for the community to reflect on its shared goals and to envision a brighter future through solidarity and collective action.
